James E. Landsberg, Inspector General

The mission of the Office of Inspector General is to promote accountability, integrity, and efficiency by providing quality audits, investigations, management reviews and technical assistance.

The OIG was established in each state agency to provide a central point of coordination and responsibility for promoting and ensuring an enhanced level of accountability, integrity, and efficiency in government relationships with the people it serves. In accordance with section 20.055, Florida Statutes requires the Inspector General (IG) to be appointed by, report to, and be under the general supervision of the agency head. Organizationally, the OIG reports directly to the Executive Director and is comprised of the Audit and Investigations Sections.
