Florida’s November Employment Figures Released
TALLAHASSEE – Florida’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for November 2009 is 11.5 percent. This represents 1,056,000 jobless out of a labor force of 9,202,000. The unemployment rate is up 0.2 percentage point from the revised October rate of 11.3 percent, and up 4.3 percentage points from the November 2008 rate. Read more...

Check Your Potential Eligibility for the New Unemployment Benefits Extension
The Agency for Workforce Innovation has launched a feature on its Web site where customers may check to see if they are potentially eligible for benefits under the Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) Tier III program, signed into law by President Obama on November 6, 2009. Customers will be asked to enter their Social Security number and PIN to determine if they are potentially eligible. Read more...
