CONNECT Weekly Update

  • Due to decreased call volume, the Contact Center will no longer be open on Saturdays, beginning tomorrow, March 15, 2014. Contact Center hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. EST on Monday through Friday. DEO will continue to assess and adjust Contact Center hours as call volume fluctuates.
  • Since the launch on October 15, nearly 1.8 million total claims have been filed using CONNECT and more than $479 million has been paid to claimants.
  • Summary for the week ending Saturday, March 8
    • For the week ending Saturday, March 8, a total of 46,445 total calls were placed to the Contact Center, a dramatic drop compared to the week ending Saturday, October 12, 2013, prior to the launch of CONNECT, when 141,537 total calls were placed to the contact center.
    • For the week ending Saturday, March 8, 58,763 claims were filed and $22 million was paid to claimants.
  • DEO Executive Director Panuccio made comments regarding the status of the CONNECT system before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Tourism, and Economic Development on Wednesday, March 12, 2014.
