Pulse Data

The Household Pulse Survey was developed and implemented by the U.S. Census Bureau to assess how the coronavirus pandemic impacted households across the country from a social and economic perspective.  This dashboard provides a snapshot of how Florida compares to the rest of the country beginning in May 2020.

The dashboard is divided into two parts.  The top map reflects households that experienced a loss of income; while the bottom map reflects households that expected to lose income over the next month during the same time period.

You can access summary information by dragging your mouse across either map or you can access additional information by “clicking” on a state to see how your “selected state” compares to Florida and the U.S.  Once you select a state, you can then select different survey weeks along with 11 different demographic variables to see how households were affected.
