$2 million in SHIP funding, administered by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, is available to assist eligible income-qualified homeowners and renters with the following housing resources:

HOMEOWNERS

  • Purchase Assistance-with Rehab
  • Purchase Assistance/CLT-without Rehab
  • Occupied Rehabilitation
  • Disaster Repair/Mitigation
  • Foreclosure Prevention
  • New Construction
  • Special Needs

RENTERS

  • Rental Assistance (Tenant)-Rental
  • Rehabilitation-Rental
  • Disaster Repair/Mitigation-Rental
  • New Construction-Rental
  • Rapid Re-Housing-Rental

Community Services Block Grant (CDBG) funding is available to assist eligible income-qualified households in Lee and Charlotte counties with attaining the skills, knowledge and motivation necessary to achieve self-sufficiency. Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funding is available to assist homeowners with home heating and cooling costs.
