Governor Scott Recognizes Tampa Area Business Owner with Governor’s Young Entrepreneur Award

TAMPA, Fla. – Today, during a meeting of the Florida Cabinet at the Florida State Fair, Governor Rick Scott recognized Haylee Shaddock, 24, with the Governor’s Young Entrepreneur Award. Shaddock is the owner of Southern Bay Bakery, a custom bakery with locations in St. Petersburg and Tampa that employs 14 Floridians.

Governor Scott said, “I’m proud to recognize Haylee with the Young Entrepreneur Award today. We have reduced more than 5,000 burdensome regulations and cut taxes by more than $7.5 billion to help job creators like Haylee succeed. It’s great to see our efforts help a small business thrive.”

Southern Bay Bakery Owner Haylee Shaddock, said, “I am honored to be awarded the Governor’s Young Entrepreneur Award.
