Millville (Panama City - Bay County) - Designated: 2009

Located on the Watson Bayou in Panama City, Millville, as its name suggests, is a historic lumber mill town with a built environment reminiscent of an early industrial company town. The Millville waterfront is the site of one of the nation's oldest paper mills still in production, a well established shipbuilding and marine repair industry, and community recreational resources. The community hopes that its revitalization efforts will make the waterfront a stronger center of community-life, expand public access, and preserve the community's unique, small town character.
