UI State Information Data Exchange System (UI SIDES) and SIDES E-Response

As an employer or third-party administrator (TPA) you are all too familiar with the challenges associated with responding to paper-based Reemployment Assistance (RA) information requests, nationally known as unemployment insurance (UI) information requests. UI SIDES and SIDES E-Response were developed through a strategic partnership between the USDOL and state UI agencies to improve the information exchange process, reduce instances of improper payments and help save you time and money.

What are the benefits of UI SIDES and SIDES E–Response?

UI SIDES and SIDES E–Response have the potential to significantly improve the RA information exchange process. While the best option depends on your specific business needs, both systems offer significant benefits:

What are UI SIDES and SIDES E–Response?

SIDES E–Response is a web-based system, that provides a secure, electronic and nationally-standardized format to respond to RA information requests. SIDES E–Response is for employers with a limited number of RA claims throughout the year and has zero startup cost as you will utilize a free nationwide interface system. SIDES E-Response requires only a working internet connection and an employee who will enter the needed information.

UI SIDES is an automated data-exchange between your own custom built interface and UI SIDES. It is designed for employers and TPAs that typically deal with a large volume of UI information requests, operate in multiple states, or want a custom interface to this service.

Registering for SIDES E-Response

Begin registration by logging into your Employer account in Reconnect:

Step 1: From your Employer home page, choose the option 'Manage SIDES E-Response'
               You will be navigated to the 'SIDES E-Response Registration Information Screen'
Step 2: Click on 'SIDES E-Response Registration Screen'
               You will be navigated to the ‘SIDES E-Response Registration Screen’
Step 3: Click the check box indicating you understand the information on the screen
Step 4: Enter your email address
Step 5: Click on 'Submit'

The registration confirmation screen will be displayed providing the PIN which will be used along with your Florida Employer Account Number and FEIN to log in to SIDES E-Response portal at, https://uisides.org/ .

SIDES E-Response portal is used for responding to requests for separation information. If there are  pending requests for separation information available; you will be able to login. If there are no pending requests, you will not be able to log into SIDES E-Response portal.
