CDBG-MIT Citizen Advisory Committee

Citizen Advisory Committee for Mitigation

The Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) for Mitigation serves as a liaison between FloridaCommerce and the communities and citizens located in State and HUD designated Most Impacted and Distressed (MID) areas.

Representation on the Committee was established on a regional basis coinciding with the Florida Division of Emergency Management Regional Coordination teams. These regions cover the portion of the state that was impacted by Hurricanes Hermine, Matthew, Irma, and Michael. Each eligible region has one Regional Representative serving on the Committee to act in advisory capacity to the CDBG-MIT program.

Public Notice and Agendas

Links to register to attend meetings are posted here at least two weeks prior to the meeting date. Meetings are open to the public, but only agenda items may be addressed. Remarks must be addressed to the Committee as a whole rather than to any individual member. The second CAC meeting for 2023 is tentatively scheduled for the third or fourth quarter of this year.
