~ $36,000 in grant funds will be used for asset-based economic development ~

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) recently awarded $36,000 in Competitive Florida grants to the City of Williston. The grants assist in creating economic development strategies, conducting asset-mapping exercises to leverage existing resources and implementing innovative economic development projects with a focus on small cities and rural communities.

Cissy Proctor, Executive Director of the Department of Economic Opportunity said, “DEO is committed to using our resources to make a positive impact on the future of Florida communities across the state. We are helping communities reach their economic development goals through grants and proud to are award this Competitive Partnership grant to Williston.”
