DEO Announces Second Annual Paychecks for Patriots Statewide Hiring Event

TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), and the Florida National Guard are partnering with CareerSource Florida regions, Dollar General, and private employers throughout the state to link Florida’s veterans and their families with immediate career opportunities through the Paychecks for Patriots hiring events on July 16. The 2013 Paychecks for Patriots event was attended by more than 1,500 veterans and more than 200 employers.
