Tropical Storm Fay
-Florida Governor Charlie Crist signed Executive Order 08-170 on August 16, 2008, freeing up the State’s resources to respond to Tropical Storm Fay.
-The State Emergency Response Team (SERT) has been activated to response to Tropical Storm Fay.
-Members of the Agency for Workforce Innovation’s Emergency Response Staff are joining other officials at the Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee in monitoring the storm and preparing to assist regional workforce boards, early learning coalitions and other local emergency responders, if necessary.
Residents and visitors to Florida should remain updated on Fay's forecasts throughout the weekend via local media outlets and the National Hurricane Center. Residents throughout Florida should use this weekend to prepare their families and businesses for a potential impact from Tropical Storm Fay. Preparing a family or business disaster plan does not have to be a lengthy process. Atlantic Hurricane Season
