Apalachicola

Apalachicola (Franklin County) - Designated: 2003

Located 80 miles southwest of Tallahassee, the City of Apalachicola permeates an "Old Florida" feel with the presence of active oyster and shrimp boats lining the waterfront. As the Franklin County seat, Apalachicola has a vibrant downtown and lure as a small coastal hamlet. Apalachicola was designated one of the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Dozen Distinctive Destinations of 2008.
